Summer Monitoring Campaign in Progress

According to the activities proposed by GAF, the monitoring activity is a nodal point of the project. The performances of the devices purchased for the CRIMIGE Center are thus tested; in particular, the impact of the electricity production and distribution activities on the environment in the cross-border area is measured.

Within the project (4.2.Time Plan), 3 monitoring campaigns were foreseen, distributed, as far as possible, in different seasons. And so:

The 1st stage – project months 4-7 (June-September), immediately after the end of the equipment acquisition activity, the documentation and establishment of the itinerary period – the hot season, late summer-autumn is targeted.

In particular, the Project Experts T. Kundelska, M. Shtohryn, and N. Hlibovytska together with the Technical Expert L. Arkhypova and Communication Manager O. Mandryk have made 5 trips to measure the environmental parameters by means of devices purchased under the Project.

The Experts have measured noise parameters, energy flux density (device NGE 35S), low-frequency electromagnetic radiation (device NFA-400), radiation of Shevchenkivska Wind Power Plant, Bohorodchanska Solar Power Plant, Burshtynska Thermal Power Plant, and powerful transmission lines. Research activities continue.
